About Driven

"Driven to perform. Driven to succeed."

Driven with Dr. Dustin Snider is an online based performance, health, and wellness enhancement company that offers one-on-one individualized training plans with appropriate nutrition and overall well-being considerations for individuals of all ages. Programming is applicable for those who are looking to improve athletic performance, improve body composition, and/or improve overall health. Each program is designed specifically to meet your unique needs and training status while still progressing toward your goals with a scientific, evidence-based approach.

Driven was created and developed on the premise to motivate, inspire, and provide factual information related to physical activity, health, and wellness to promote improved performance and overall health of society as a whole. Far too often, individuals 1) remain sedentary because they do not know how or where to start, 2) see minimal or no improvement and become frustrated due to improper training/nutrition advice and poor health choices, and 3) do not know how to approach physical activity due to current or previous injury. If any of these situations describe you, then you have come to the right place.

Driven is dedicated to implementing quality programming and providing accountability toward all performance, health and wellness goals. Through commitment and consistency, life altering changes can be appreciated. Let’s be driven together!

About Me

My name is Dustin Snider. I am a West Virginia University graduate Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT), Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), and lifetime natural athlete with a love and passion for promotion of physical fitness and health/wellness through functional movement, proper training, and appropriate nutrition. I have been consistently resistance training for over a decade now, and I have gained extensive knowledge on the subject through both anecdotal and scientific, evidence-based research.

Through the years, I have worked with numerous people to develop and establish individualized, specified plans to work toward specific goals related to improved self-efficacy, function, and quality of life. I am an advocate and firm believer in hard work, consistency, perseverance, and dedication. I have built my life around these principles, and I feel they have helped propel me to the position I am in today.

In addition, I am a listener, educator, motivator, and encourager that is willing to work with whomever to achieve their goals related to physical activity and overall well-being. Through quality program design and precision, I strive for the best outcomes for not only myself but for each client I encounter. We are given one life, one chance, so we might as well make the most of it! Let’s be driven together!

Frequently Asked Questions

Why choose online coaching?

Online coaching offers a multitude of advantages when compared to in-person sessions.

  • Accessibility. With majority of in-person sessions, the guidance, advice, and encouragement ends at the conclusion of the session. Through weekly check-ins and 24/7 availability through email, I will be with you every step of the way.  This is an important element that is often neglected. It is a great way to improve adherence and consistency. In addition, this allows for identification of potential barriers limiting progress and improved tracking of your program to maximize results related to your goals.

  • Cost Effective. Everyone enjoys saving money.  Many in-person sessions can range between $60 - $150 per session depending on a variety of factors. Over the course of a year, these expenses can quickly add up. If you are on a tight budget, this is a great option. â€‹

  • Schedule Flexibility. You are in control of when you perform each training session. If you prefer to train in the morning, this gives you the ability to do so. On the other hand, if you can only train in the evening because of work, this gives you the ability to do so. You are not restricted to times that are convenient for both parties.

What are the disadvantages of online coaching?

The few drawbacks of online coaching include not being able to assess form, provide feedback, or motivation in real time and personal accountability. Being able to evaluate form is important to maximize the benefits of an exercise and reduce risk of injury. With that being said, through self video analysis, I will be able to provide you with instruction on proper technique and provide additional resources to improve performance and reduce injury. If you do not feel comfortable with a certain exercise, I will work with you to adjust, modify and/or completely change that specific exercise so that you continue to progress toward your goals safely and maximize results.

As far as personal accountability, it does require somewhat more self motivation due to someone not physically being there during each training session to get the most out of you. Again, I am always a message away if you are feeling you need extra encouragement on any particular day. Regardless of online or in-person, it comes down to you putting in the effort necessary to make positive changes in your life.

Do you provide meal plans?

No. I do not provide specific meal plans because I feel these set restrictive barriers that are not sustainable over time and lead to burnout and reduced diet adherence. With macronutrient considerations, I employ a more flexible approach that allows you to eat foods you enjoy in moderation. In addition, I discuss and employ diet strategies that will allow you to consistently progress toward your goals.

Do you provide physical therapy services online?

The short answer is no. If you are experiencing debilitating pain, you should consult with your physician. With that being said, as a physical therapist, I feel I am more than qualified to evaluate, prescribe, progress, adjust, and modify exercise appropriately to allow safe progression toward all your goals. After all, we are considered movement specialists. If you have just recovered from an injury or are experiencing minor aches and pain not allowing you to begin an exercise regimen, I can be of service. You are at more of a risk of injury remaining sedentary than actually performing physical activity and moving your body on a daily basis.
